Semi-Automated Bulk Singulator

Summary of Innovation Achieved in 2018-2023:

While the Semi-Automated Bulk Singulator was introduced in 2018, it was initially only compatible with NPI’s Xstream Shoe Sorting systems. In 2023, an eCommerce delivery company contacted NPI to inquire about the possibility of utilizing NPI’s Singulator with a third party Crossbelt sorting system. The customer expressed a preference for NPI’s Singulator over a competitor’s solution due to its compact design, reduced labor requirements, and improved performance. Responding to this request, NPI assembled a team to engineer the Semi-Automated Bulk Singulator to integrate with third-party equipment. NPI not only fulfilled the parcel delivery company’s request but also significantly enhanced its versatility. As a newly standalone solution, this innovation made it possible to integrate NPI’s Semi-Automated Bulk Singulator with a wide variety of sorting systems, including loop sorters such as Crossbelt sorters and Tilt Tray sorters.

Distinguished by its innovative and unique singulation process, customers highly value NPI’s Singulator for its affordability, ease of use, and compact design. With the successful development of independent controls and PLC, NPI’s Singulator now offers immense value to customers by providing them with the option to select NPI’s singulation solution and seamlessly integrate it into their existing or future operations with third-party automated sorters. Without this innovation, customers would be left with no choice but to opt for an inferior singulator and induction process when using a third-party sorter. This could necessitate more labor, occupy a larger footprint, and result in reduced performance.

The Pallet Hold-Down kit is fully automatic, requiring zero action from an operator to secure pallets, and activates solely through the gravitational force that occurs during the dumping process.
